Equip’s 50th Anniversary Dinner

On October 1st, 2024, Equip proudly hosted current and former students for our 50th Anniversary dinner.  There were over 100 people in attendance celebrating the good 50 years of Equip thus far. We were also privileged to celebrate with incredible speakers and former Equip directors. We acknowledge Joe Jones, Bill Lambert, Bill Richardson, Adrian Ayers, and Ed Myers for their devotion to the Equip program as well as the kind words of wisdom they brought to the event.

Equip — Bible Online is Harding’s ministry training program for adult and online learners. Harding has been providing training for ministry to non-traditional men and women since 1974. Now, with the addition of online courses, Equip has a global reach. Students come to Harding’s online Bible classes from countries like India, China, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Tanzania, Albania, Hungary, Belarus, and multiple Caribbean islands.

The Certificate in Christian Ministry consists of eight for-credit courses that give international ministers on-the-job training. Since it was introduced 15 years ago, a fund was established to cover the cost of tuition, books, and fees for international ministers obtaining this certificate. This would not be possible without the generosity of private donors. The International Leadership Development Fund is not provided. Every once in a while, we have to replenish the money that has been well spent on these international Church of Christ ministers. 

We are blessed in having the opportunity to receive a matching grant of up to $100,000 for any donations made to the ICLD fund this year. We kindly request that you prayerfully consider making a donation to this fund. Your investment in the education of these ministers will immediately double.
