2024 Bloom Conference

Written by: Ashanti Poindexter

Harding University’s Bloom Conference is a large, regional conference held each February. This year, the conference will take place on February 23rd and 24th, beginning Friday night and ending Saturday afternoon. The theme of the conference is “Nurturing Community.” The leaders of the Bloom Conference found that community development has been a big problem post Covid, which insinuates that it was most likely a problem before as well. This conference will focus on the creation, further development, and cultivation of community. Jessica Berry will serve as the worship leader for the weekend, and there will be several breakout sessions with a multitude of speakers, as well as the following Keynotes:

“In this Place” – Lesa Willis

“Holding Fast to Community” – Alicia Williamson

“The Inspired Purpose of Community” – Lisa Williams

People from all over come to the Bloom Conference. Some churches use it as a retreat; some families use it as a girls’ weekend. If given the opportunity, faculty, staff, and students should all attend. Some students often take it for credit. You can purchase tickets here, and it is important to note that meals are included in the ticket price.
