Online Pastoral Training for International Ministry Networks

By Tim Westbrook, Ph.D.

About a year ago, was asked to write a blog article for entrust4.org about how online education could benefit ministry training around the world. Given my background in online higher education since 2005, eight years of ministry on the mission field in Hungary, and the deliberate efforts we make with Equip to create accessible education for Church of Christ ministers internationally, I reasoned that I should accept this invitation to write the article. If you would like to read the result or to hear the podcast about the article, please click on one of the links below:

At present we have students in the Equip program who have come to Harding’s on-campus program from China, Nigeria, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica. In fact, our current group of residential Directors Scholars are 100% international students. Furthermore, our International Leadership Development Fund pays for students to earn their Certificate in Christian Ministry, and our current students represent China, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, Albania, Hungary, India, and Aruba.

Equip at Harding takes serious the Great Commission, and we specialize in the part about educating new disciples from the teachings of Jesus. We welcome students from all over the world to connect to our global community of leaders, learners, and servants of Jesus Christ.
